Events are not a side hobby I picked up for a website. I plan them for people I love, and I plan them as part of my career. Birthdays are my favorite. A birthday is the one day that is only about that person, and it deserves more than balloons thrown on a table.

I planned my own wedding for more than 100 guests, and I have run company events for up to 200. Those rooms taught me the same thing: guests remember the focal pieces, the fun, and the small accent points — the arch they walk through, the activity that gets people talking, the table that looks finished.
